You probably notice there’s something a little different here going on at USA TODAY Fantasy Sports.

We have a new home for our fantasy sports coverage — and a new look to go with it. But the most important thing is what lies beneath the surface.

We’re taking a new approach to our fantasy offerings, one that better reflects the way people are reading, enjoying and playing fantasy sports.

The rise of daily fantasy games has changed the industry. And we’re changing along with it, as we introduce our new daily game, FantasyScore, powered by RTSports.com. While we’ll still be providing news and analysis that pertains to traditional, commissioner-based games, the bulk of our coverage will focus on daily gaming.

We’ve also gained more editorial resources, adding the expertise of veteran fantasy writers from KFFL.com, a USA TODAY Sports owned and operated site, to our family. And we’ve come together under one umbrella, USA TODAY Fantasy Sports.

You’ll still be able to get the information and rankings you’ll need to prepare for your traditional fantasy drafts. But if you’ve ever seen your team’s fortunes go down the tubes in Week 1 when your star quarterback suffered a season-ending injury or if you’ve ever been frustrated by an ongoing running back committee, you know how tough it is to feel you’ll never be able to turn things around.

With daily fantasy, you can draft a new team each week — and even better, you can use your knowledge to win cash prizes.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll introduce you to the many ways you can play FantasyScore. We’ll give you strategy tips. We’ll show you how to put a league together with your friends — or join a big tournament and play for higher stakes.

Football is king of the fantasy sports world, so that’s the primary focus of what we’ll have here as we get started. But down the road, we’ll also be offering daily fantasy basketball, hockey and, in 2015, baseball.

So if you’ve been a longtime reader of USA TODAY’s fantasy coverage and/or KFFL.com, thanks for staying with us as we make the transition. If you’re someone who’s visiting us for the first time, welcome. We think you’ll enjoy coming back on a regular basis.

It’s an exciting time for all of us. We know we’re just getting started, so we’ll be tweaking things as we go. But even though there may be a few bumps along the way, we think you’ll enjoy the ride. The feeling of winning a championship can be yours each and every week of the year.
