Just a friendly reminder that FSTA Board of Directors nominations are due to Megan Van Petten (email@example.com) by 5 p.m. CT this Friday, Feb. 8.
Full details are below.
At the time you submit your nomination, we are asking for two additional items:
A statement of interest (no more than 150 words) explaining why you would make a good board member; and
A short bio that will likely be included on the ballot.
The bio is a new element that was not mentioned below. Note: Megan will contact those individuals that have already submitted a nomination to obtain their bio.
Want to help shape the direction of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association and the fantasy sports industry as a whole? Now is your chance.
The FSTA is accepting nominations to its Board of Directors, with elections coming up later this month. Five of the 15 board spots are up for election, with each new board member being seated for a three-year term (expiring in Spring 2016).
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 8.
If you’re interested in joining the board, please submit your name along with a short paragraph (no more than 150 words) describing your qualifications to Association Director Megan Van Petten at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Every FSTA member in good standing is eligible to run for a board seat.
The FSTA is a non-profit organization and, accordingly, board positions are unpaid. Ideal candidates are individuals that are motivated to propel the industry, achieve industry goals and address industry and organizational needs. This is a working board and there is an expectation that all members will participate meaningfully. We’re not looking for people that just want to add a line to their resume. There is serious work involved.
All FSTA Board members participate in at least one committee (see the list here) and newly elected board members will also work on our Conference Committee for their first year on the board.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. CT on Feb. 8
Voting will run from Feb. 18-22 (details to be announced)
New board members will be announced by March 1
