Most Unique and Outstanding Live Event or Contest: Gridiron Fantasy Sports

Description: The World Championship of Fantasy Football features live events in multiple cities held on the opening weekend of the NFL Season. Over 2,400 people attended the live event in Las Vegas at the Venetian / Palazzo Resort and Casino with another 500 participants involved in the live events in Orlando, Chicago and Atlantic City. Participants engage in a variety of live drafts with entry fees ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 with the featured event being the Main Event where 876 teams are competing for $300,000 and the title of World Champion. In addition to the $300,000, the World Champion will also win a trip to the Super Bowl in Dallas. The WCOFF weekend spans Thursday – Sunday with live drafts, celebrity parties and social events for all participants. Media coverage has expanded around the WCOFF to include ESPN The Magazine, ESPN Radio, Mike and Mike in the Morning, Fantasy Football Now, Wall Street Journal, HBO, Showtime among others.
